Hike: We drove to the Stevensville trail head in Underhill on the West side of Mt. Mansfield. We hiked up to the intersection of the Fraost trail and the Butler Lodge Trail. One guest ran up the Butler Lodge trail to the lodge in 45 minutes. We suggested that he head north on the Rock Garden trail and meet us on the Frost trail. The rest of us had headed up the Frost Trail. We all met on the Frost trail and went South on the Rock Garden and had lunch at the Butler Lodge. After lunch we took the Long Trail Cutoff to the Long Trail. We followed the Long Trail to the Forehead and onto the access road around the Visitor Center. We followed the toll road down to the Quad where we got on the Hazelton Trail. That took us to the base of the Gondola where we met Jay for our ride back to Smuggs.
