Route: Drove to Underhill State park. Went up the CCC road to the trail head. Went up Halfway House trail to the Canyon North trail. At the Canyon North Extension trail two people wanted to go up to the Long Trail on the ridge. I took them up. Nancy took the other seven on through the Canyon North Extension and onto the Subway trail. The big flat rock was VERY slippery! We met up at the junction of Sunset Ridge Trail and the Long Trail where we ate lunch. We continued up to the Long Trail to the to the Chin. We continued on the Long Trail to Route 108 where we were picked up by Jay at 4:15.

Hike:
Drove to Underhill State Park. Walked up the CCC road to the trail head. I took 2 people up the Sunset Ridge trail Ed took 5 people up the CCC road to the Half Way House trail to the Canyon North trail and Canyon North Extension to the Subway trail and onto the Long Trail. We meet Ed’s group at the Chin for lunch. We continued north on the Long Trail to Route 108 for pick up.

Route:
We started at Underhill State Park. Ed and I split at the junction of CCC road and Sunset Ridge. Ed went with 7 people up Sunset Ridge and I went up Halfway House trail with 5 others. My group went to the Canyon North trail. At the Canyon North Extension, I took 2 up to the long trail, the other 3 continued on the Canyon North Extension trail and onto the Subway trail. We rejoined on the long trail and went to the Chin where we met Ed’s group and had lunch. We met Jay at about 3:25.

Hike: We drove to Underhill State Park on the West side of Mt. Mansfield. We hiked up the CCC road to the trail head. From there, we went up the Sunset Ridge Trail\. We went up the Long Trail to the Chin where we ate lunch. We took the Long Trail down to Route 108 for pick up.
