We drove to the Stevensville trail head. We hiked up the Frost Trail to the Maple Ridge Trail and the Wampahoofus trail to the Forehead. We eat lunch just below the Forehead in a shady spot. We took the Long Trail north to the Toll Road parking lot. We walked down the Toll Road to the Octagon where we walked down the Nosedive ski trail to the Hazelton Trail. The Hazelton trail took us to the bottom of the gondola where we met Jay for our ride back to Smuggs.

August 4, 2015 Mount Mansfield West

We drove to Underhill State Park. Hiked the CCC road and the Halfway House Trail to the Canyon South Trail. On the trail, we climbed down the chimney and through the squeeze. The trail took us to the TV station access road. We ate lunch at the building by the parking lot. We then hiked the Long Trail North to the Chin. At the Hell Brook Trail junction, several people wanted to go down that way, Oliver took them down to the Big Spring. I took the rest down the Long Trail North. We met Jay on Route 108 for our ride back to Smuggs.
