Hike:
Drove to Underhill State Park. Walked up the CCC road to the trail head. Took Laura Cowles tail up to the Sunset Ridge trail and on to the long trail. We went up to the Chin and came back south to the Profanity Trail. We took Profanity down to the Long Trail and on to Taylor Lodge where we ate lunch. I was very cold by the time I finished eating!. We continued north on the Long Trail to Route 108 for pick up.

June 19, 2012 Mount Mansfield West Hike

Route:
We started at Underhill State Park. We went up the CCC road and on to the Halfway House trail. We continued on to the Canyon North trail, and on to the Canyon North Extension. I took 5 people on to the Subway trail. Betsy took 4 people up to the Long Tail at the escape path. We met Betsy’s group at the Chin where we had lunch. We got down to 108 at about 3:20. Two young people ran down from the stream crossing in 7:30! We met Pete at about 3:40.

Lunches:

Apple, Brown Sugar and Cinnamon Pop Tot, grapes

Chesses sandwich, crackers, apple

BBQ Chicken pizza, apple

PB&J, apple, pistachios

Cheddar Cheese, apple, bread

Three (count them, 3) BBQ Chicken sandwiches

Ham and sharp provolone cheese with honey mustard, 2 clematis, trail mix

Ham and cheese, gold fish, trail mix, fruit stick

Yogurt, ham sandwich

PB, trail mix
